The BrandÂ
This was a group project in which I collaborated with a partner to design a mock-up magazine for a company. We were assigned ESPN. The project was completed in my Graphic Design 3 class during the spring of 2022.
We divided the work into two roles. My partner took on the role of photographer, capturing photos of a local hockey team in action, posing, and head shots. I assumed the role of graphic designer, organizing the pages, creating the layout, and developing ideas to guide her photography
Overall
The direction I took with the magazine was to use bright, eye-catching colors inspired by past magazine designs. I went through numerous redesigns to ensure the magazine complemented the photos and maintained a consistent theme throughout. In the end, I decided on an illustrative approach. Overall, it was a fun project to create and a great experience collaborating with a photographer partner.
