The Brand
Yohnny.jpeg is my online alter-ego, where I work as a freelance illustrator and animator. I showcase my work across social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok, sharing my illustrative art while cultivating an engaged creative community.
My work focuses on portrait illustrations (head-shots, three-quarter, and full-body), fan art, landscapes, and visual storytelling inspired by public figures, personal sparks of interest, and current trends. In a loud, fast-moving creative world, I aim for this brand to stand out as its own entity through semi-realistic black-and-white illustrations.
I currently work exclusively on an 11-inch iPad Pro using Procreate and Procreate Dreams.
The inspiration
I keep my design and illustration practices as separate mediums, allowing both my career and my passion for art to grow in their own space. Over the past four years—and continuing—I’ve developed my drawing style through dedication, discipline, and an obsession with standing out. I’ve loved drawing for as long as I can remember, but in recent years I’ve begun to take it seriously as both an identity and a purpose.
Influenced by artists such as Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt, Boichi and Arku, my work is defined by a moody atmosphere and a strong visual identity. I primarily work in grayscale, occasionally incorporating color depending on the concept or request—though black and white remains my personal preference. There is a timeless beauty in black-and-white photography that I’ve always admired, and I strive to capture that same simplicity and emotional depth in my illustrations.
My art—now and moving forward—will always be dedicated to my younger self and the dream of becoming an illustrator.
